Building an Action Camera Stabalizer - GoPro Steadycam

I made this video a while back for a local RC club. ua-cam.com/video/r5NW-ZBGObY/v-deo.html I wanted a camera stabilizer that would give me smooth footage when shooting with my Sony AS-10. I also wanted something that was cheap, durable, versatile, and easy to use. Nothing on the market would do all this, so I designed and built one that did.

OK.. this might be a dumb question, but as a first time 10/22 owner, does anyone think I need to lube the barrel bore at all before first use? On this video I noticed he didn't lube the barrel (inside) after he pulled the bore snake. Is it just not needed on 10/22's? Or is the oil leftover from the snake enough? Thanks for any feedback.

when reassembling the bolt I found that holding the bolt handle all the way back it was slightly misaligned by spring tension and the bolt would not drop onto it. I used a wooden dowel inserted through the ejector port to push on the spring side of the bolt handle to the rear. This aligned the handle and the bolt just dropped on, and the trickiest part of assembly was done.

thanks again. I am a 1st time gun owner at 60. I have a 22/10. Its a nice gun, but I was very surprise how little information Ruger had on how to maintain their weapon. I had shot and cleaned bolt actions in 5th grade camp, but without this video I was lost in being able to breakdown and clean this simple rifle. Thanks again, cleaned up and shot well, even if get that bolt handle back on was a pain in....

That is cool. I gotta try this! Was thinking about using a light oil instead because if you watch @7:00 when you rev the engine, you'll actually see water vapor form in the bottles. Although a little water vapor in the engine is no big deal. And btw, did you know you can actually boil the water off with enough vacuum. Science 😉

Fresh out of the box one of my 10/22 magazines would not load into my rifle. After watching this video I went and looked at the magazine and the rotary screw was not flush with magazine and it was loose. I tightened the rotary screw flush with magazine and loaded it into the rifle easily. Thank you for this video!

You should remove the mag first. You checked the chamber first, let the bolt close, and if a round was in the mag, you chambered it. You removed the mag, and now you are in the position, "I Thought the gun wasn't loaded!!! Stay Safe.

I’m watching to undo my dial headlights bc it wears down my battery, I’m the second owner and don’t have any old parts. Meaning if the old wiring was taken out, I might need them and no longer have. I don’t use my scooter often and after like 3-4 mjntys, my battery goes out or runs out and I suspect it’s bc of the dual headlights.

I think Yamaha made the Zuma with one headlight bc the battery won’t support 2 headlights. I’m about to reverse it and go back to one headlight bc of the battery drain and gone through 3 batteries in a year and it’s a pain in the ass.

You don't need to take down the trigger group. Spray cleaning is adequate and 10x faster and just as accurate. Now a trigger group I did have to open was 50 years old and looked like a charcoal briquette. JS
